Tesla Model X Review: The Electric SUV That Still Feels Like the Future

Tesla Model X Still Turns Heads With Supercar Speed and Family SUV Practicality

The Tesla Model X has been one of the most unique electric SUVs on American roads for a while now, and even in this growing electric vehicle market, this vehicle still manages to stand apart from the crowd. The Model X offers a unique mix of style, power, and practicality, making it a go-to choice for those who want a change from traditional luxury SUVs.

The first thing that catches people’s eyes when they see a Model X is its unique Falcon Wing doors, which are unlike traditional SUVs’ rear doors, as they open upwards, making it much easier to get in and out of the vehicle, especially in small parking spaces, while at the same time giving this electric SUV a very futuristic look.

Performance is another key feature that makes Model X a standout. While the base model comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 670 horsepower, the Plaid version has an incredible 1,020 horsepower. This enables Model X to achieve incredible speed, with the Plaid version accelerating to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. This is quite impressive for an SUV, considering its size.

The range and efficiency of Model X are also noteworthy. While the base model has an EPA-estimated range of up to 352 miles, depending on the version, Tesla Model X is a great choice for those who plan to drive long distances across America. This is because Tesla has an extensive Supercharger network, allowing you to charge your car quickly with a 250 kW Supercharger, meaning you can get back on the road quickly

The interior of the Model X, meanwhile, feels modern and minimalist. It has a large screen that controls most of the car’s functions, which gives it a futuristic feel. It can seat five, six, or even seven passengers, and it has plenty of space in the cargo area, too—94.5 cubic feet of space, to be exact, when all the seats are folded down.

Safety and technology are also part of the driving experience with the Model X. Tesla has equipped the Model X with driver-assistance technologies such as Autopilot, as well as an optional Full Self-Driving system. The car also has cameras, sensors, and over-the-air software updates, meaning that it will get better over time without a single trip to a dealership.

However, not everything is perfect with the Model X. The car is still a large and heavy SUV, meaning that handling will be different compared to other, smaller EVs. It also has a premium price, making it a luxury vehicle. Nevertheless, if you want a vehicle with the latest tech, performance, and style, then the Model X is still one of the best EV SUVs you can buy in America.
