2026 Ford Bronco Gets Pricier, Smarter, and More Trail-Ready
But for those looking at a more strategic approach, the new 2026 Ford Bronco has just about everything to offer, thanks to its combination of price changes, package shifts, and a single huge return to the roster that all off-roaders will definitely notice: Wildtrak is now part of the line-up. Based on MotorTrend’s report, Ford has revamped its lineup of the new Bronco by changing prices for some models while shifting certain off-road package options.
The change in the headline is that of the price. The 2026 Ford Bronco in the base model costs $42,490, making it $1,500 more expensive than it used to be. In addition to that, there were other trims of the Ford Bronco that cost an extra price, like the Heritage Edition and the Outer Banks. On the other hand, prices of Big Bend, Badlands, and Stroppe Edition decreased. Interestingly, Stroppe Edition will cost you an impressive amount of $5,640 less.

What makes this update different from a mere price adjustment is the resurgence of the Wildtrak variant. Rather than returning as a standalone variant, the Wildtrak will make its comeback as a package option on the four-door Badlands. The package offers heavy-duty off-road components such as the HOSS 3.0 suspension system, internal bypass shocks by Fox, Sasquatch package, 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine, and 10-speed automatic gearbox. This allows customers to have an extremely capable desert-capable Bronco without having to opt for a full Raptor setup. According to MotorTrend, the Wildtrak package adds $11,945 to the total cost, making it $62,830 for a Badlands four-door
The company has also made other minor but still important improvements. For instance, there is a new tri-coated Orange Fury metal paint, which was traditionally seen only on Mustangs and is now offered on Broncos to make them look more fierce. In addition, painted roofs are now available for more trim levels, while the SecuriCode keypad by Ford, which allows keyless entry into the vehicle, is also offered now.
However, a weakness for certain consumers would be limited availability of body styles. This time around, Wildtrak comes in a four-door variant exclusively. Also, the Stroppe Edition will not be available in two doors. As such, there are now fewer two-door versions with unique features compared to previous years. Nevertheless, for the coming year, it is expected that the lineup for the model will be among the best within the off-roading SUV category. Generally, the 2026 updates for the vehicle are minor.
