The new Touring model adds more power, range, and character to the bZ4X SUV family.
Toyota announced the arrival of its second electric SUV bZ4X Touring in Europe on Thursday. The company claims that it is ideal for those seeking additional space, performance, and off-road abilities compared to the current generation bZ4X SUV.
The bZ4X Touring model comes with both front and AWD versions. The AWD model, which comes with a more powerful rear eAxle, has a maximum output of 375 hp (280 kW). This makes the bZ4X Touring model the most powerful Toyota car other than its sports cars series (GR).

Compared to the regular bZ4X, the Touring model comes with some additional features such as skid plates, wheel trims, black wheels, and a more elevated position. These make the bZ4X Touring SUV look more rugged and aggressive.
Due to its longer length compared to the standard bZ4X by 140 mm, the Touring model has extra room inside. Even when its rear seats are folded, it can carry up to 669 liters, which is 48% larger than the standard bZ4X.
The extra power allows for a towing capacity greater than 3,300 lbs (1,500 kg) in the bZ4X Touring AWD, compared to 1,650 lbs (750 kg) in the FWD model.
In terms of interior, there is a similar interior layout like that of the bZ4X, including a 14” central display screen and Toyota’s “digital island” center console.
Similarly to the FWD model, the bZ4X Touring has a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery and a front motor with 221 hp (165 kW), achieving a WLTP driving range of up to 367 miles (591 km).

The bZ4X Touring AWD pushes the limits further with an additional rear motor, providing a total output of 375 horsepower (280 kilowatts) and 268.6 newton meters of torque. The company claims that the AWD variant can go from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 4.5 seconds, making it the quickest and most powerful EV in Toyota’s lineup.
Although the AWD trim retains the same 74.7-kilowatt-hour battery pack, its range is reduced to 328 miles (528 kilometers).
Similar to the recently launched bZ4X car, the Touring model comes equipped with a new battery pre-conditioning feature that enables it to be charged from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes, despite being exposed to low temperatures of -20°C (-4°F).
The model also incorporates an EV route feature, which makes driving easy because it suggests suitable charging stations depending on the car’s energy consumption and battery level.

Toyota is currently offering three EV-based SUV models in America, namely the improved 2026 bZ, C-HR, and bZ Woodland SUV. The bZ4X, C-HR+, and bZ4X Touring models are available in Europe and the United Kingdom.
The bZ, which was updated for the 2026 model year with extended driving distance (up to 314 miles), enhanced charging speeds, and an NACS port, turned out to be Toyota’s electric SUV that is the third best-seller in the United States, following the Tesla Model Y and Model 3 EVs.
